Education    Church School

Children are a vital part of our church life. Rev. Ellen Witko, our Minister of Education and Outreach, works with the members of our Board of Christian Education and a team of experienced and dedicated teachers and advisors to nurture a faith for children that is relevant to their experience.  We use a curriculum that takes the Bible seriously but not literally.  Our church school has tripled in size in recent years.

Below, third graders participate in communion with their families.

Nursery:  Child care is available during worship for infants and one- and two-year olds and throughout the summer for children under six when Church School is not in session.

Church School:  Classes from pre-school through seventh grade are held during worship each week during the school year.  All children begin Sunday morning in Worship with their families.  After a children's message, they are dismissed to their classes. Our Children's Chori director, Gwen Rosenblatt, leads singing for the young ones in their classrooms.
