Serving Others

Minstries to community are vital to Brookside's life as a congregation, with well over half of the congregation - and all ages - involved.  We contribute both our money (20% of our program budget goes to mission activities) and our efforts.  Even as Jesus "came not to be served, but to serve," so we believe that a church does not exist for itself, but for others.  Among our volunteer ministries are:

• Preparing meals for the Community Soup Kitchen  

• Delivering Meals on Wheels

• Helping at the Jersey Battered Women's Service

• Building for Habitat for Humanity

• Game nights at local senior center

• Going on a CROP Walk

The Missions Committee encourages participation in its many projects and welcomes suggestions for new projects.
