Small Groups
The heart of a church is its small groups. It is hard to get to know 200 people but it's easy to get to know the children in your Sunday School class, the people you serve at the Soup Kitchen with, the others in your book discussion group.
We look for opportunities to bring small groups together. In addition to service and educational groups we encourage social groups.
Currently active or forming at BCC are:
Placesetters - Open to couples and singles, groups of eight to nine are formed in the fall and spring to meet at each others' houses once a month for a potluck dinner.
Brookside Film Group - On the first Friday evening of each month (October - June) whoever is interested meets at the church to view a film of interest and then discuss it.
Men's Breakfast - One Saturday morning a month men of the church get together for breakfast at a local diner to discuss sports, yardwork, kids, whatever topic generates interest.
A Theater Group is forming this year to take advantage of a few of the many theatrical offerings in the area - at prices significantly less than Broadway.
Bike trips are being offered in the spring and fall on Saturday or Sunday afternoons.
