Serving Others    Youth Ministries

In addition to raising money to support our intergenerational and adult ministries, our kids have their own initiative called Brookside Kids Care. In this unique program, every church school class serves the wider world! Offerings and many classroom activities are dedicated to services projects the children choose. In recent years classes provided building materials for Habitat for Humanity; gave bees, llamas, chickens, and goats to needy families around the world through the Heifer Project; visited nursing homes; made place-mats for a homeless shelter, painted the church nursery, and more.

Each Christmas our Church School offers "Alternative Gifts for Christmas" with proceeds going to the most destitute areas around the world.  Christmas 2004 the 6th and 7th grade classes raised over $1600 in alternative gifts.
