PraXis, is a graduate project coming from the Vancouver School of Theology, at the University of British Columbia. https://praxiswellness.center/volunteer-for-the-wellness-study/

Remember how ‘some projects could wait’?

Well, in the six months since that was shared, we have had an additional $40K in unexpected emergency repairs (including replacing the McKinnel Center roof). That brings our building and property costs to $170K for the year, $50K more than we have raised through Raise the Roof.

This is on top of all of the regular operating costs we incur each year (pledge season is nearly upon us, so you’ll be hearing more about that soon).

Please consider exercising your faith by stretching your giving to meet our expanding needs.

Whether you give more than you pledged to the General Fund or make an additional gift to Raise the Roof, you will join with others whose additional gifts are making a difference at Brookside.

Join us after worship on 11/28 (the first Sunday of Advent) for an all-ages craft that centers on this theme. We will also be giving out updated materials for the Advent Candle Holder from last year. If you need an Advent Candle Holder, please contact Pastor Nicolette pastornicolette@gmail.com as we have a few left from last year.

In our Hearts, In our Prayers:

The lonely, the isolated, the anxious, the fearful

The sick, the dying, the grieving

Students, teachers, administrators

All those facing devastating losses from hurricanes, wildfires, and earthquakes

The people of Afghanistan and all who live in places of uncertainty and violence

Our leaders, our communities, our nation

Prayer Joys and Concerns will be listed weekly. Requests received by Tuesday of each week will be included in @ Brookside and will remain there for a month unless otherwise requested. Please forward your requests during the week to: office@brooksidechurch.org
