@ Brookside . . . Week of December 19th

As we grieve together the passing of Lois M., it is especially important to consider coming to this year’s Service of the Longest Night, held tonight at 7pm via Zoom https://us02web.zoom.us/j/83547978664 . Together with our friends from other Mendham congregations, we will honor the complexities of this time of year, as we rest in the promises of God.

God Journeys With Us

This year was one of many difficulties, but also many joys. Just at the right moment small miracles reminded us that God is with us and our congregation. As we care for one another, as we care for our neighbor, we remember that God is with us and encourages us to continue forward.

As we come to year’s end, we have appreciated the numerous above and beyond gifts we have received. Learn more about the ways you can give here (including information on donating stock to avoid capital gains tax):

Seniors “Young at Heart” Ministry

It is with deep gratitude that I thank the twelve donors who supported the Brookside Seniors “Young at Heart” Ministry's delivery of monthly surprises and a prayer card from Pastor Nicolette.

Each month, the precious senior members of our congregation and wider community receive a delicious homemade treat, crafted by Sam and me, providing a chance for me to make physical contact with each Senior and see how they are managing during this pandemic.

Please know that each of you have brightened their days and that they deeply appreciate (and anticipate) the treat and visit. If you would like to sponsor a monthly surprise next year, please contact me at linchilld7@gmail.com.

Thanks for your kind consideration and for making a difference in the lives of our precious Seniors!

Best, Linda Fairchild
