We’ve entered a new year and know that God journeys with us. As we prepare for the annual meeting to review 2021 and make a plan for 2022 you can help by:

1. If you head a committee, team, board, or project, send your annual report to office@brooksidechurch.org

2. If you intend to give financially in 2022, let us know your plans here - https://brooksidecc.breezechms.com/form/851661

3. If you’d like to be more involved in the life of the church, contact the office and the nominating team will be in touch to help you find a good fit. We are in particular need of someone to oversee the finances of the church as the Treasurer, but there are multiple opportunities in all different areas.

Thank you to the Deacons for decorating, to Amy & the Choir for music, to our readers, to our poinsettia deliverers, to all who made this season merry and bright. Merry Christmas & a blessed New Year!

Seniors “Young at Heart” Ministry

It is with deep gratitude that I thank the twelve donors who supported the Brookside Seniors “Young at Heart” Ministry.

Each month, we hand deliver a homemade treat and a prayer card to between twenty and twenty-five senior members of our congregation and community. This ministry has enabled us to have face to face contact, fellowship, and remind individuals who have been deeply impacted by the pandemic that they are remembered and cared for.

Please know that each of you have brightened their days and that they deeply appreciate (and anticipate) the treat and visit. If you would like to participate in this ministry through sponsorship, making deliveries, creating treats, or in another way, please contact me at linchild7@gmail.com.

Thanks for helping to make a difference in the lives of our seniors!

Best, Linda Fairchild

In our Hearts, In our Prayers:

Strength and healing for Sarah F.

Those grieving the death of Lois M.

For those impacted by Covid, including several individuals in our faith community

The prayers shared aloud on Sunday morning*

The lonely, the isolated, the anxious, the fearful

The sick, the dying, the grieving

Students, teachers, administrators

All those facing devastating losses from tornadoes, wildfires, and earthquakes

The people of Afghanistan, of Haiti, and all who live in places of uncertainty and violence

Our leaders, our communities, our nation
