@ Brookside . . . Week of February 12th

FIELD TRIP! Brookside has reserved a block of tickets for Saturday February 25th at 2pm.Reserve your tickets here: https://brooksidecc.breezechms.com/form/39fcb38

The music of Godspell will be incorporated into our weekly worship during Lent. For those unfamiliar with the show, it invites the showrunners to set the story of Matthew’s gospel in modern day. As the original play is over 50 years old, this show is based on the 2012 update. We’ll watch the movie (which celebrates its 50th anniversary this year and features flower children and clowns) later this season.

PraXis returns TONIGHT at 6:45pm & continues every 1st and 3rd Wednesday through May 15th

“Christ will exalt in my body” Phil. 1:20

PraXis provides mind, body, spirit coaching at the intersection of evidence-based wellness and Christian spiritual practice. For over a year, Cornelius Swart and Jamie DeRuyter have led the PraXis classes at BCC, combining movement, mindfulness, and prayer in their unique sessions.

Sessions include 30-40 minutes of light to moderate yoga-style movement, followed by 10-20 minutes of contemplative silence. Each night is wrapped in prayer and scripture readings.

For more info visit PraXiswellness.center, check out their blog, get the full class schedule on Facebook or watch a session video on YouTube.

These classes are donation based.  Drop-ins are welcomed. If you have questions, you can contact Cornelius and Jamie directly at info@praxiswellness.center

February 22nd will include an observance of Ash Wednesday.

On March 1st, Pastor Nicolette will plan and lead the service. We need volunteers from Brookside to:
1. Make Soup (we need 3 kinds, at least 1 vegetarian, to serve ~30 people)
2. Serve Soup (4 people)
3. Clean Up (4 people)

The prayers shared aloud on Sunday morning*

Those who will serve in church leadership in the coming year

Those who grieve

Those impacted by gun violence

Those who feel broken in body, mind, or spirit

Those who are anticipating an upcoming surgery

Those in times of discernment and change

Our leaders, our communities, our nation
