“BEDTIME STORIES & PRAYERS” CONTINUES SEPTEMBER 18

Join families from around the Central Atlantic Conference of the UCC Wednesday evenings on Zoom to hear a children’s story, pray, and be sent forth with a blessing. Come as you are, even if you are in your car running home from soccer practice. The weekly event is FREE!

Here is the Zoom link: BEDTIME STORIES & PRAYERS. Each session is 15 minutes long and perfect for families to add to their evening going-to-bed rhythms.

The weekly time is 7:00-7:15 PM.


 

International Day of Peace

Refugee Assistance Partners Inc. (RAMP) will participate in a ceremony marking the UN-designated International Day of Peace on September 21 at 6:00pm at the Chester Gazebo in downtown Chester.

Ceremony Includes:

Luna T.  A 16-year-old local high school student who is a refugee from Syria

Rabbi Robert Green Congregation B’nai Israel, Basking Ridge

Dr. Ali Chaudry Islamic Society of Basking Ridge

Rev. Dr. Forrest Pritchett Seton Hall University

Local officials, musicians, and clergy

Each year the International Day of Peace is observed throughout the world on September 21. In 1981, the United Nations General Assembly declared this a day devoted to strengthening the ideals of peace through observing 24 hours of non-violence and cease-fire.

Turning Yinward: A Traditional Yin & Kurma Yoga Experience with Susan Novick

Join us on Thursday, October 17 from 6:30PM- 8:00PM for a meditative & calming yoga experience led by Susan Novick. This 90 minute class will be a combination of yin yoga and kurma restorative yoga and will end with a mini sound bath at the end of class.
