All are welcome, even if you were not able to make the first gathering. "In this incisive critique, former litigator-turned-legal-scholar Michelle Alexander provocatively argues that we have not ended racial caste in America: we have simply redesigned it.”Register ahead of time, and a link will be sent to you: https://us02web.zoom.us/meeting/register/tZAlc-2rpz4rE91UWZg4SN5IFZGnhV9FFD2_

$2000 can help us Raise the Roof!

In 2020, 65 individuals and families financially supported Brookside Community Church. If each of these 65 donors gave $2000 towards Raise the Roof, we would quickly and easily raise the $130,000 needed. Since $2000 isn’t possible for all people, Leadership Gifts of $10K (or more) are important.

What’s the update?

· More than 40 donors have given or plan to give a total of $102K.

· 15 donors plan to give $2000 or more. Together, they will give over $90,000 towards this project, including $40K from church leadership and $35K from people who have moved or are moving away.

· The other 26 donors will give around $12,000 total, including $1000 from community members who do not regularly give to Brookside.

What is the scope of the project? Where can I get more information?

How can I help?

Whether you’re ready to give now, or whether you need more time to make a plan, it would be helpful to hear from you (click on one of the links below)

Thank you for your continued support!

GARDENING IS MOVED TO THURSDAY 7/22 5:30-6:30 this week! What do the stories of Genesis have to do with dirt in the garden? How can our garden help us understand God appearing to Moses in a thorny bush? Can weeding our garden be a spiritual practice as we consider Jesus’ parables?    We’re excited to see how our garden is growing and learning about what it takes to keep our soil and plants happy so we have a bountiful harvest to donate to our local food bank. This ministry is open to all, any week throughout the summer.  We hope you’ll join us!  For more information, please contact Betsy Broome, Brookside’s pastoral intern, at ebroomemid@gmail.com.
