Brookside Church Pop-Up groups

Hiking

Join us as a group hikes at the Black River County Park on Saturday November 11 at 9:15 am. Meet at the Cooper Gristmill Parking lot (66 'old' Route 24 Chester NJ - west of Alstede Farm). The trail runs between the mill and the Kay Environmental Center, a 4.6 mile loop. Most of the hike is relatively level, with one uphill section climbing towards the Kay Center.

All are welcome- bring your children, family, and friends. Dogs need to be leashed. We would appreciate it if you would let us know if you are coming simply so that we can contact you if there are any changes to plans (bad weather etc.).

You can text Pat Behnke at 973-580-4659 or Mark Texel 201-919-2311

Garden Tour

Please join us for a trip to Willowwood Arboretum on Wednesday, November 8 at 1 pm. Meet at the parking lot at Willowwood, 300 Longview Rd, Chester Township.

After the Library’s program about Seward Johnson and his sculptures, it seemed an appropriate first “Pop-Up group” garden trip.  Hopefully the weather will be cooperative and we can enjoy the gardens, sculptures and a late fall afternoon.  Please let the office know if you can attend so we know who to look for at Willowwood. Need a ride?  Let us know!

FAITH IN ACTION

You’re Invited to our Open House!

Thursday, November 16, 3:00 - 6:00 PM.

347 S. Salem Street, Victory Gardens, NJ

Almost 40 years ago we opened our doors, serving warm meals to neighbors in Morristown. Over the years, our work, our family, and the support of our community have grown to create something special– and something to expand across Morris County. Thanks to the generosity of our friends and partners, we have turned a dream into reality; The Grand Opening of our newest location, serving the Victory Gardens and Dover communities.

INTEGRATED SPIRITUALITY

Brookside 5Rhythms® Fall series, MOVE. WRITE. CONNECT continues THIS FRIDAY, October 27 in Scialla Hall from 10:00-11:30AM. Drop ins are welcome.

This week we will move with the first Rhythm of Flowing, which teaches us the gift of being grounded. Journal writing and partner exercises will help us embody this principle more fully.
